Heritage Ranch is a 55+  active retirement community of approximately 1,144 homes located in Fairview, Texas.  The community is in a 575-acre country setting surrounded by beautiful rolling hills , wooded areas, and several scenic ponds. Heritage Ranch also features an 18-hole, par 72 championship golf course designed by Arthur Hills.  The course measures 6,988 yards from the back trees, demanding accurate shot making, while four sets of tees and a wide variety of challenges for all skill levels.

The middle of this gated community features a 24,000 square-foot clubhouse that hosts almost daily activities for the resident.    The clubhouse has a ballroom, card room, billiards, a library, computers, a fitness center and an indoor lap pool.    The Corral Grill restaurant and lounge is a popular dining place and The Outpost restaurant is for more casual dining.

Other outdoor activities besides golf  include  lighted tennis courts, an outdoor pool, horseshoe and bocce ball courts and four miles of hike and bike trails through the woods and around the lakes.  There is  wide variety of clubs and groups including chorale, theater guild, book reviews, art classes, yoga, Zumba, water aerobics, bridge, and  a variety of social groups.  A full-time activities director is on staff for classes, workshops, trips and other activities.

Heritage Ranch Location

 

The Town of Fairview was incorporated in 1958 with only 50 residents.  Now Fairview has grown to over 9,000 residents with an average household income of over $112,000.   Fairview is roughly 8.7 square miles and is located to the north of Stacy Road in Allen.   The town still retains its small town feel with large homesites and tons of open spaces.   Here is a complete list of Fairview neighborhoods and a Fairview community map.

A majority of Fairview is in the Lovejoy Independent School District. The LISD serves over 2800 students in the cities of Fairview and Lucas, plus parts of Allen and Wylie, with three elementary schools, a middle school and Lovejoy High School. The McKinney Independent School District serves the western end of Fairview and a small area in the far northeast. The MISD operates no schools in Fairview itself.
